né à Glastonbury en 925, moine, évêque de Worcester, archevêque de Canterbury en 960, légat du pape Jean XII, mort à Canterbury en 988. Principal conseiller du roi saint Edouard le Martyr. Patron des musiciens. Fête le 19 (12 ?) mai.
