• Gérald, évêque de Mayo, au VIIIème siècle. Fête le 13 mars.
• Géraud d'Aurillac (13 octobre), né en 855 au château de Saint-Etienne, au dessus d'Aurillac, comte d'Aurillac, fit un pèlerinage à Rome, moine, il affranchit les serfs et fonda le monastère d'Aurillac en 894, reconstruit au Xème siècle par l"abbé Adralde, venu de Conques. Mort aveugle en 909 à Saint-Cirgues (Cerzéniac), enseveli à Aurillac. Eglise dédiée à Aurillac et à St-Vincent-de-Tossa, près de Gérone (Espagne). Fête le 13 octobre.
• Gérald (5 décembre), moine à l'abbaye de Moissac, fut appelé en Espagne par l'évêque de Tolède pour réformer le clergé espagnol, puis au Portugal pour être évêque de Braga. Il défendit les prêtres contre les seigneurs, et mourut en 1109 dans l'église de Bornos, sur un lit de cendres. Nom issu du germain "ger" (lance) et "waldan" (gouverner). Fête le 5 décembre.
• Géraud de Sales, né vers 1070 à Salles, près de Bergerac, se fit ermite, guidé par le bienheureux Robert d'Arbrissel, fonda des monastères, notamment à Caduin, en Dordogne, à Grand Selve, et celui des Châtelliers, près de Ménigoutte, dans les Deux-Sèvres. Mort en 1120. Fête le 20 avril.
